Domestos
I wonder, can a leopard change its spots?
Altering its methods permanently?
Did our boy, on the road to Domestos,
Metamorphose upon epiphany?
Will he, I’m wondering, revert to type,
Returning to the old established way,
Of promising steak, while handing out tripe
To adoring masses, shouting “Hooray”?
He’s enacting now, things he rejected:
Helping the many, rather than the few;
Things that the many had not expected,
Under a rule of Conservative blue.
Will our boy revert post COVID 19?
The answer to that remains to be seen.
