I don’t wanna go to America
Where poets get murdered in ice cold blood,
Minorities grow daily warier,
Obama’s name’s being dragged through the mud,
Since war was declared on diversity,
“Of life’s” but the sole university;
Lectured by hacks of othering, fear, hate,
Not one single student will graduate,
The syllabus has radically changed:
All factual science of climate’s denied,
Slavery’s downplayed, likewise genocide;
The virtue of greed is deeply ingrained;
Evangelist Christians make mockery
Of gospel, history, equality.
I don’t wanna live in a vassal state,
Ruled by gangsters and corporate law;
MAGA sycophants don’t speak for me mate:
Illness would keep me decidedly poor;
If the clueless among us had their way,
Imagine the thousands we’d have to pay
For heart or cancer surgery, in light
Of the meth dilemma of Walter White;
If you think Farage will make Britain great,
Re-read the contract, between the lines,
Full as it is of ambitious designs,
Have with yourself an internal debate,
After which, if it still gels with your view,
Fuck off to Trumpland, and stay there,
Please do.
